Background
Denise Coates founded Bet365 in 2000 and launched it in March 2001 on a £15 million loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland. She and her brother John remain the principal shareholders. It has held a UKGC licence since 2001 and also holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence.
